Vintage 07

We had a long, dry summer at Lenswood but were fortunately not frost or drought affected. Vintage was one of the earliest on record with perfect picking conditions. The sauvignon blanc was picked between 8 and 14 March, followed by the pinot on 15 and 16 March and the chardonnay between 23 and 26 March.

On 16 May 2007 we performed the first barrel sampling of our 07 vintage with winemaker Tim Knappstein. Tim has tantalized us with the prospect of the 2007 being one of our best vintages.

Tim Knappstein plunging juice

The barrel sampling of the pinot suggests this may be the best pinot that Tim Knappstein has ever made from Lenswood fruit. It promises to be an outstanding wine.

The 07 chardonnay sampling was similarly exciting.
